Yes, and it is the most expensive mistake here. Pena Palace sells entry for a stated hour, in season the comfortable slots go days ahead, and there is nothing to buy at the gate. We buy before you fly and fit the rest of the day around the hour we got.

In the city itself, usually not. You walk, you take the tram and the metro, and parking is more frustrating than it is worth. The car earns its keep on the day you head to Sintra, Cascais or north, and you can take it for those days alone. Ask us and we will tell you honestly whether yours is that case.

Some Portuguese roads are billed electronically only, with no way to pay on the spot. Anyone driving without a device gets the charge through the rental company months after they are home, with a fee per crossing. On a car booked through us it is arranged in advance.

The whole thing, and that is really the point. Tours, a car, the airport transfer and the stay are booked with the same person, so the location suits the route and the hours line up. You can also take one thing on its own; there is no package you have to take whole.

Three full days cover the city without rushing, and a fourth is a day out, usually Sintra. With five you can add the coast or a quiet day, and we will tell you what actually fits the days you have.

In Lisbon it rains in spring too. Some days work in the rain and some simply do not, and we will move what can be moved rather than send you out on a miserable one. You hear about a change like that from us, not on the morning.

Yes, and we match the pace and the stops to the ages. For Sintra with small children we will suggest a shorter route and say so in advance, because a full day there wears out adults too.

Payment and the cancellation terms are agreed with you on WhatsApp and appear on the booking before you pay. Each service has its own cancellation window, written there rather than in small print.
